Scam alert

Texts claiming to be from a parcel company are asking for card details

Several people in the district have reported a text saying their parcel is held up and needs a small "redelivery fee". The link leads to a fake payment page that takes card details.

How to tell it's a scam

  • You weren't expecting a parcel, or the message doesn't name the item.
  • The link doesn't go to the courier's real website.
  • It asks for a small fee to be paid urgently.

If you've already paid

Call your bank straight away using the number on the back of your card and ask them to stop the card. Then report it to us and include the number that texted you.
