Family harm support
No one deserves to be hurt, threatened, or controlled by someone they live with or love. You don't have to deal with it alone.

What family harm looks like
It isn't only hitting. It includes threats, checking your phone, controlling your money, cutting you off from friends, damaging your things, and forcing you into anything you don't want to do.
What police can do
- Come to your home and make everyone safe right away.
- Issue a Police Safety Order, which makes the person leave the house for up to 10 days.
- Help you apply for a Protection Order through the court.
- Put you in touch with support services who can find you a safe place to stay.
If you're worried about someone else
Listen without judging, and let them decide what to do next. If you see or hear someone being hurt, call 111.
